Confession: I used to tease my hair in my early days of college. Why? I don’t know. I guess somewhere in the early soul searching that ensued during my college days I thought it looked good. *I was wrong.* I learned that lesson a long time ago so I really don’t know why I recently decided that Bumpits would be a good idea. For some reason while shopping with friends I decided that I should give the product a try. (Remember our post on how to save money? Here’s another trick: Don’t go shopping with friends. You end up buying things that you don’t want or need.)
The box makes it seem so simple and versatile but the reality was hideous. First of all, I have a small head so the idea of putting the largest size Bumpit in my hair was ridiculous. Secondly, the teeth from the combs show through your hair! See the image below to get an idea.

I should have been put off by the fake nails in the photo and the overly Texas-looking afters but I wasn’t. I am begging all of you to learn from my mistakes.

I am glad that someone feels the same about the Bumpit as I do. It seems like it is a trend that will never end. My favorite part is when you see the hard plastic of the Bumpit through a girl’s hair. You would think that one of the girl’s friends would have stopped her before she was allowed to leave the house, but I guess not.
YES!! Thank you! It is not cute at all.
I wanted the Bumpit! I’m kinda sad they suck, but you just saved me ten bucks, which I shall use to buy you a wine at the Mean Eyed Cat.
Kelly, I would choose the Mean Eyed Cat over a Bump It any day! Thanks for stopping by!
