Back in September I ordered a bunch of make up from an Etsy store called The All Natural Face. I promised to write a follow-up review but you may have noticed that it never happened. It took me a really long time to figure out how I really felt about this makeup. I was really impressed by their prices and their customer service. (To spark your memory, I got all of the samples below for only $10. You can read more about what everything is in my post about The All Natural Face.)

The samples that I ordered in September lasted me all the way until January, but when it came time to order more, I couldn’t bring myself to do it. My biggest qualm with the makeup is that it doesn’t wear well throughout the day. The eye shadow creases even if you apply the primer, the eye liner gets under your eyes, and the foundation and concealer vanish so that skin looks that same as it did when you first get out of the shower. I tend not to wear very much makeup so when I put something on in the morning I want it to last until I go to bed without needing to cake it on before I leave the house. I always think of Becky from Full House telling D.J. that the trick to applying make-up was to look like you’re not wearing any at all. I would love to wear this makeup all the time because of how affordable it is and how great it is to work with The All Natural Face, but since I want products that don’t require me to reapply, I’m afraid that I’m going to have to go back to Bare Essentials.
Has anyone else tried The All Natural Face? What was your experience?

Thanks for the review! I’d be interested to get a product like this, so I’m glad to get your take. I’m always such a sucker for makeup marketing. I get really excited about trying new makeup, imagining myself looking like a Victoria’s Secret model and then disappointed that I look exactly the same or the makeup isn’t even as good as what I regularly use.
And I love the Full House reference! I think I actually remember that episode too!
I’m glad you appreciated my Full House reference. It was such a good show!
For the record, I’m the exact same way with makeup and beauty products. I try to review a lot of different products (since I always think that something is going to change my life) because I know that horrible disappointing feeling that sets in when you realize the last product that you bought isn’t really going to do what it promised.
Haha the comments are super funny it’s so true but no girls wanna admit it they dream of being so beautiful hence spending all our $ on makeup.
It’s definitely true Stel, but at least we’re admitting here. Thanks for stopping by!
I have been using The All Natural Face makeup for 2 years now. I never have to cake it on and it wears all day long for me. Maybe it is my skin type or maybe the brushes I use, but I find it to be great makeup. The price is awesome and the customer service is great as well.
Hi Hope, I’m glad the products work for you, but personally I felt like they didn’t wear well. The customer service is great, as were the prices, but since it wore off so quickly I can’t claim to readers that the products are a good value.
Best,
Jamie Lee
Don’t mean to necro this thread, but I found your blog post while googling reviews for this company and felt the need to add my 2 cents.
I have very dry skin and sweat very little on an average day. If I were to apply it straight, I have no doubt it’d just fall off my skin because my skin does not provide enough moisture for powder to stick to. So I use a little jojoba oil right before I apply it. My skin doesn’t absorb the oil and it keeps the makeup on all day. I only touch up once after it settles, then I can usually forget about it, unless it’s 111 degrees.
The reason I use it because coverage is pretty so good and it’s super fast to apply. I was a big fan of cream and liquids prior to this, but I felt like I was spending forever applying it. I also have a very pale Asian skintone and I could never get a good color match. And it’s cheap, ha.
Thanks for your input, Gen. I also hardly sweat and have relatively dry skin, but I’m obsessive about moisturizing. I hardly wear makeup, but when I do, I’ve had much better results with the staying power of BareMinerals.
