The best thing about painting is that when you rip off huge sections of paint because you decide you hate taping and think that maybe your tape will stay put through two separate coats of paint, you can always re-paint.

After spending what seemed like hours with some tweezers trying to pull off bits of tape that were left behind, I’m beginning to think that I should become one of those people who has a really steady hand and doesn’t need to tape things off. Thoughts? For those of you who missed it, check out this great post about painting by Making It Lovely.
Happy weekend!

Do I hear you! I painted the master bathroom this weekend and have yet to remove the tape because I’m dreading it. I did learn a little trick, though that might help. If you use a razor to cut the tape away from the paint and cut with the razor as you pull, it makes a nice, clean break. The tweezers sound miserable!
So when’s the reveal?? I am dying to see pictures!! You know I love a good after!
Hmm, the razor idea sounds really smart. I’m happy to tell you that our bathroom closet is finished. I’m not sure if we’re going to wait to show afters until the whole bathroom is finished. As of right now we’re waiting on a plumber to come over to fix a leak so it seems like the end of the bathroom project as a whole won’t be in sight for awhile. Gosh, that was a horribly written response.
Not a horribly written response at all! I get the jist. And while I’ll be totally antsy, I am way excited for the overall reveal! It’ll make it that much more exciting.
Sorry about the leak and plumber situation. Do you ever get jealous of those people who happened to fall into perfect bathrooms and kitchens? Oh well. I suppose we’re learning and growing and all of that stuff.
The way I see it Meg is that we are creating the perfect little rooms for the people who live in our spaces after we move out. If you’re anything like me (which from all of our interactions, it seems like you are) I could probably be given the perfect room and still not feel happy with it until I did something to make it my own. So yes, living and growing and all that stuff.
