They're a fun idea. Honestly, one of my biggest hangups was that people were going to judge me for not donating cute enough clothes.

I've heard of those clothes swap parties popping up hear and there. I think it's a fantastic idea; I mean the price is definitely right!

I HAVE THAT SAME FEAR!! I allow myself to knit scarves but draw the line there. I have to stop myself from trying to be too diy so that I don't turn into "that girl." I think Peter and I would have a talk if I took myself too far down that path.

But yes, go to a clothing swap! If nothing else just to say that you've been to one--and bring a good friend who would be totally willing to bail with you if it turned out to be a bust.

Note to self: If ever invited to a clothes swapping party, wear a full body unitard.

I have never been to one and had my doubts like the ones you first described, but it really sounds like your first experience was awesome. I love it when a group of nice girls get together...and I hate it when I'm somehow in the midst of girls that take themselves way too seriously and don't know how to smile or share.

Your outfit is way cute! And if you're a dork, we all are! My biggest fear is that I'm turning into one of those craft moms that live at Joann Fabrics. You know, the one with knitted vests that make their own halloween sweatshirts and google eye socks. I fear for my future....

Anyway, thanks for sharing!!
