Supper Club
This weekend was our first Supper Club party! Every two months a group of us will meet at a different person’s house for dinner. The host will prepare the main course and the guests will bring a side or appetizer, and the beverage of their choice. Saturday night Peter made beef burgundy and chicken dinner crepes followed by a build your own dessert crepe station. I forgot to take pictures when people were there, but I did take a few before anyone showed up.

We’ve officially decided that even though the couch isn’t centered in the living room, we’re going to keep the set-up. Now we need to revisit what to do with out dining area. It looks so weird and bare without the hutch.
There are a few things that we did for this dinner party that made it run sooooo much more smoothly than the ones that we’ve had in the past.
1. Peter did most of the cooking before the guests arrived so that he wasn’t trapped in the kitchen all night.
2. We put out a huge pitcher of cucumber and lemon water so that we weren’t constantly filling and re-filling the Brita.
3. We set out about 30 Ikea glasses instead of using proper glassware. This meant that no one was asking us where they could find whatever type of glass all night and clean up was SUPER easy because we didn’t have to hand wash a ton of wine glasses.
They may seem like really small things, but those small changes really freed up a lot of time for mingling with our friends. Part of me thinks that we should have special flavored water out all the time.
Thanks to everyone who participated!!
