I’m not usually a big fan of brands. I might like a thing or two from one brand and a couple of things from another, but I never completely identify any one of them—except kate spade. If you took the kate spade brand and made her into a person, I would SO want to be her. Sticking with the traditional one year anniversary gift, Peter got me some really adorable thank you notes by kate spade.

BHLDN Update

On Valentine’s Day, I headed over to BHLDN to check out what the brand-new Anthropologie owned store had to offer. Before long, I’d picked out three dresses that I absolutely loved. Unfortunately, I knew I could only buy just one. I’ll let you in on a little secret: I’m actually the Maid of Honor in an upcoming wedding. I’ve never been a maid of honor before. I feel really important and lucky to be such a big part of what is sure to be a wonderful day! So, naturally in choosing just one dress from the website, I picked one that I could wear to this very special occasion.

Immediately, after ordering the dress I was impressed by a couple of small things: 1.) The store offers free return shipping and 2.) tax is already figured into their prices. I paid an additional $10 for shipping and that was all.

Today, when the box arrived at our house I ripped it open and found this beautiful grey cloth packaging.

The dress is made out of beautiful material that feels soft and silky against my hands. (Plus, it has pockets which I imagine will be a great advantage on my friend’s big day.)

The dress was still a bit wrinkled when I was taking these. I’m not 100% sold on it, but so far I think it is a great option. It’s very classically beautiful–perfect for a church wedding. And not that this is a deciding factor or anything, but look at how adorable the tag is.

What do you think? Is it a great choice for a bridesmaid’s dress or should I keep looking?

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!! What were you all up to? I worked from home today and Peter made me a fantastic breakfast of baked peaches and fresh whipped cream. Delicious!

Now Peter’s at work, but I have a surprise night of crafting Valentine’s for when he gets home. It’s kind of silly and pretty cheesy but I’m sure he’ll be into it.

Before I go, I have to ask: What do you all think of Anthropologie’s new bridal line BHLDN? I’m not a fan of the wedding gowns (probably a good thing since I don’t need one) but I love the shoes and some of the party dresses! I have one picked out as a potential bridesmaid ‘s dress. I’d love to hear what you all think of their new line! I’ll leave you with this picture from their website. I’m still not sure what the model is doing.
